Set up an account

Before you can start working with MailChimp, you will need to set up an account. It is very important to enter the information correctly into the fields, because the information will be used in your e-mail campaign to identify you to your readers and keep the mailing from being identified as spam. Follow the directions closely as you sign up for your free account.


To set up an account

  1. Go to the MailChimp website at

  1. Click Sign up for free.

  2. Fill in the information fields with the appropriate information.


Note: The wizard will let you know if you have left something out.


  1. Click Create my Account.
    The Just one more step page opens.


  1. Click Activate Account.




You will be sent an email to verify your registration.


  1. Click the link in the verification email from MailChimp.

  2. To log in, type the username and password you used to register your account into the appropriate fields. Once you have logged in, the Let's Get Started page appears.

  3. Carefully fill in the required information into the boxes to set up your account information.

  4. Click Save And Get Started.
