Dan is a native Springfieldian who lives three blocks from where he grew up.  He attended Hickory Hills Elementary and Junior High,  Central High School,  and Drury University.

His family owned and operated Summerfield Greenhouse where Dan learned the business from the ground up. Dan owns his own specialty gardening business.

Dan’s strong sense of “roots” expresses itself through his commitment to his family, the environment, and his community.

He lives in his grandfather’s house, just around the corner from his mother Barbara and his sister Susan and her family who together attend Schweitzer UMC.
